I am trying to affix EL wire to my bike.
It's not a standard frame however so zip ties don't really do the job.
I've tried a glue gun last year but found as soon as the bike frame heated up very much the glue started coming off.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a good adhesive or some other technique that might work better?

Try tape, clear wrapping tape.
Attach with colorful pipe cleaners, or ribbon.
or try putting 2+ zip ties together...to make a longer one. :) -

Fri, August 17, 2007 - 3:42 PMIf you are looking for something permanent, try Zap-a-Gap. Its like crazy-glue, but a bit thicker. I use it on el-wire all the time and it hold perfectly. -

the reason the zip ties don't work well is because the cross bar on the bike is really fat and an odd shape.
it's like a store bought chopper style and the bar has a big piece there of an odd shape sort of like a pseudo gas tank i guess.
i will try that zap-a-gap definitely looking for something pretty permanent -

Mon, August 20, 2007 - 8:12 AME-6000 works GREAT, get it at Tap Plastics. I use it to glue EL to a pair of leather boots.
